25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin Review
25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin Review
Berlin is a city filled with amazing, funky hotels and the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin is no exception. Located in West Berlin, the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin is prime real estate overlooking Zoologischen Garten (which houses the Berlin Zoo) and other famous landmarks including Kasier-Wilhelm Memorial Church.
Hip, funky, industrial, the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin is everything you would expect a hotel in Berlin to be. Yet with all the amenities and service of an upscale hotel. The first thing you notice about this hotel is that you are truly transported in to a different world. Their tagline is “wild like the jungle, multifaceted like the city” which is spot on. This hotel is a photographers (or Instagrammers) playground. Decorated with a chic yet retro/industrial vibe every corner of the hotel has been transformed in to something magical and unique.
The first space you encounter when you step off the elevator is the lobby and reception area. Decorated in an urban jungle theme, it includes a hammock lounge, a bakery and café, work spaces, work and hangout nooks, and a lovely outdoor area.
The front desk staff is absolutely lovely. They are ready to answer any and every question you have about the hotel and the services they offer. Which are many including bike rentals, a “jungle sauna”, a jogging corner, and Mini Cooper rentals (free of charge) to explore Berlin. Yes, you read that right free 25hours hotel themed Mini Coopers. Cars are limited so inquire at the reception upon checking in for further details.
One the top floor of the hotel is the extremely popular Monkey Bar and Neni Berlin restaurant. These places are packed with non-hotel guests from open to close and for good reason. Super cute decor, amazing views, killer drinks, delicious food pretty much the happening place in Berlin
The rooms at the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin all face Zoologischen Garten (specifically the monkey, apes, and elephant enclosures) or overlook the urban landscape of the city. We stayed in a Jungle M room which had a spectacular view out over the monkey enclosure. This definitely made for a one-of-a-kind experience. You could lay in the hammock in the room and just relax looking out over all the lush green of the park and listen to the animals below. You could definitely hear them when they wanted to be heard despite being insulated in the hotel.
The rooms decorated in the same urban jungle theme that’s carried out throughout the hotel. It had an awesome hammock in the room (totally a first for me) next to the floor to ceiling window. It had an industrial loft feel with exposed concrete but was well-appointed with a super comfy bed, large walk-in shower, and all kinds of cool decorations and gadgets like a Bluetooth speaker.
Breakfast in the morning was on the top floor at what is the Neni Berlin restaurant. The breakfast buffet was included in our room rate but even if I had t to pay extra I would. The buffet was outstanding with all the usual fixings plus stand-out options like fresh honeycomb and rice pudding. Make sure you at least eat breakfast here once during your stay!
The 25hours Bikini Berlin is also in one of my favorite parts of Berlin. Right off Kurfürstendamm, which is one of the most famous avenues in Berlin, known for its’ amazing shopping, dining, and night life. It is within walking distance to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, Kaufhaus des Westens, Zoo Palast, and in winter time one of Berlin’s most bustling Christmas Markets.
All in all this is a fantastic hotel. Whether it is your first visit to Berlin or your visit often, it has something that appeals to everyone.
